An inordinate amount of attention is focused on losses with age. How depressing to think that it is all downhill as we grow older. Now brain science reveals this does not have to be the case. Training future brain scientists to be life-long learners is a fundamental objective of UTD’s Center for BrainHealth. To advance this goal, the Center has launched a summer intern program and is currently mentoring twelve high school and university students.

Urgent Funding Needed »

The UTD Center for BrainHealth urgently needs funding to finish out the state-of-the-art clinical research space on the second floor. The second floor will be the epicenter of brain discovery.

Leadership Spotlight »

Since joining the Advisory Board in 1999, Buck Horn has been an invaluable asset to the Center for BrainHealth. A long time friend of Dr. Sandra Chapman, Buck called upon her for help in 1995 when he developed a brain abscess and needed emergency brain surgery. This experience, along with his father-in-law’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease, greatly deepened Buck’s interest in BrainHealth and its research.
