Researchers at the Lab for Clinical and Integrative Neuroscience at the Center for BrainHealth along with researchers at UT Southwestern Medical Center are recruiting participants for a study exploring a novel treatment to improve pain symptoms in Gulf War Illness using non-invasive brain stimulation.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
US Military Veterans born between 1940 and 1972
Males and females who were deployed in the 1990-1991 Persian Gulf War
Must meet clinical criteria for Gulf War Illness with pain complaints
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
11 sessions with 4 follow-up visits which include:
- Questionnaires
- Neuroimaging: EEG and fMRI
- 10 sessions of non-invasive brain stimulation
Participants who complete the study will be compensated for their time.
