Overview

The new normal can be overwhelming, but building resilience can help us cope. By strengthening our executive function skills, we can reduce our emotional response to stress, become better problem solvers and decision-makers. The 2+5+7 formula can help: identify two priority tasks that require deeper thinking each day, take five-minute breaks after each task, and engage in innovative thinking seven times a day. Mindfulness and meditation practices can also reduce stress and reset the brain. Exercise, nutrition, and sleep are key lifestyle factors that support brain health and performance.
