DALLAS (September 17, 2020) – Think Ahead Group (TAG), the young professionals donor organization of the Center for BrainHealth® at The University of Texas at Dallas, recently announced its board members and co-leaders for the 2020-2021 season. In taking up the cause of BrainHealth, TAG members are energized and motivated to support cognitive neuroscience research and to serve as advocates for the benefits of taking a proactive approach to the brain’s health and performance from a young age.

Since its inception in 2009, TAG has raised more than $320,000 to support the Center’s leading-edge research into strategies and technologies for people to leverage the brain’s amazing adaptability in the face of challenges such as autism, chemo brain, depression, traumatic brain injury, chronic stress and Alzheimer’s.

Continuing in their role as co-presidents for the second year running are Kristen Carter and Kendal Dodge, who have been members since 2014.

“The Think Ahead Group plays a critical role in spreading awareness about the importance of making simple, everyday changes to maximize brain health – no matter your age, situation or background. As we kick off the fall with this passionate group, I’m excited to see just how far we can propel our message and the powerful work of the Center for BrainHealth,” said Ms. Carter.

Mrs. Dodge added, “Our goal with TAG is to make brain health a regular part of conversations. We often only think about the sick brain, and I want 20- and 30-somethings to be the leaders in expanding and extending the brain’s peak performance by adopting lifelong, brain-healthy habits.”

Not only does TAG fundraise for significant work for BrainHealth, they also have fun doing it – from signature events, such as TAG Derby, to networking happy hours. Members get to socialize and create friendships as they help deepen their generation’s understanding of brain health and fitness.

The fundraising focus and events for the 2020-2021 season will be announced soon.

Representing a variety of backgrounds and diverse work experience including finance, marketing, media relations, consulting and law, the board members include: Rachael Carter, Makenna Covington, Aaron Diggins, Alberto Hernandez, Bora Laci, Jenna Martin, Mitch Mason, Mulvey McDavid, Jorden Moxley, Katelyn O’Donel, Tucker Robinson, Kathryn Simmons, Morgan Tinsley and Emily Wingate.
